Varley was established in 1886 in NSW as a small plumbing and boiler making business and since then, it has grown to be one of Australia’s oldest and most advanced engineering and manufacturing companies with facilities across Australia, the USA and Southeast Asia.

Throughout the past century, Varley has steadily grown and diversified its business. This diversification has allowed it to ride the highs and lows of market trends and maintain its financial strength in the face of strong competition, globalisation and the speed in which technologies and markets are changing. More recently Varley has begun to diversify its business further through national and international acquisitions and Joint Ventures and strategic partnerships with leading Defence Technology Companies.

Diversity is one of Varley’s strengths and the Company has continued to be viable over a long period of time including during the Global Economic Crisis and the COVID 19 Pandemic.
